Dr. Nasseri has a Ph.D. in rock mechanics, and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. He has 20 years of research, teaching and consulting experiences in the areas of practical rock mechanics, rock mass characterization and classification, strength criteria for anisotropic rocks and rock masses, physical and numerical modeling in Geomechanics, analogue modelling in structural geology and tectonics, characterization of petrofabric structures and fracture toughness, fluid flow and transport properties in rocks and laboratory acoustic/seismic velocities measurements and analysis. Application areas: Slope stability, Underground openings, Drilling and blasting, Petroleum geomechanics and nuclear waste repositories.
