John's teaching, research and consulting activities are in the areas of rock characterization, slope stability, tunnelling, reinforcement and support, and mine design.

Experience and Awards
John has over 20 years of pertinent experience in North America, Canada, Australia and Europe working in mining and geotechnical engineering. Dr. Hadjigeorgiou is a past recipient of the John Franklin Award in Rock Mechanics from the Canadian Geotechnical Society and the Rock Mechanics Award from the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
